InfiNeXt Founder and President

InfiNeXt Educational Solutions, LLC was founded by Ishmael Brown, Jr. in 2012.  He is a certified (and Highly Qualified) high school math teacher who has been teaching for more than 20 years. Ishmael is also a two-time nominee for "Who's Who Among America's Teachers." However, his real passion is tutoring. He began tutoring as a student in 1996.  Ishmael graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics with a minor in Physics from South Carolina State University and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University in 2018.  He holds certifications through the National Tutoring Association (NTA, www.ntatutor.org) as a Master Tutor Trainer (including training for a tutor, academic coach, and mentor).  He currently holds the position of President for the NTA.  Along with NTA, Ishmael holds memberships in the National Education Association (NEA), the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM),  and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.  Email Ishmael

 

InfiNeXt Reading/ (Lower Level) Math Tutor

From New Orleans, Louisiana, Ashley Teater believes in innovative approaches and improved solutions to education.  Observation, inspiration, and determination are her foundation for success. Her philosophy is that through the introduction of fresh perspectives and innovative techniques and supports, students are able to evolve and grow.  She is a highly qualified teacher in both middle-level and secondary English as well as K-12 Special Education.  This is her 16th year in education and by providing a safe, nurturing, and rigorous learning environment, students are better equipped with 21st-century skills to become lifelong learners who are globally minded and civically engaged.  Through collaboration, a dash of inquiry, and continuous feedback, students are highly engaged in rigorous learning.  

She has earned a Bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in secondary education at Stetson University.  Through Project Create, Mrs. Teater has earned a special education endorsement and has been teaching special education for the past four years. Ms. Teater also has her Master’s degree in Divergent Learning through Columbia College and an endorsement in Montessori that she obtained through CMStep out of Cincinnati, Ohio.  In addition to her academic achievements, Ashley is a member of the National Tutoring Association and certified as a Basic Level Tutor.

InfiNeXt Upper Level Math Tutor

Craig Baker graduated from Binghamton University in New York State, initially with a BA in Mathematics and then a Master's Degree in Teaching and Learning. His tutoring career started during his time studying at Binghamton University where he was a tutor in the Academic Help Center as a Junior and Senior. Upon graduating with his Master's Degree he began teaching Math in a nearby middle school and eventually moved on to high school-level math courses, including Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and SAT Prep. It was during these formative years of his career that he truly began to grow his passion and expertise for helping all kids in all areas of mathematics.  Due to his many experiences and positions as an educator, teacher, administrator, and coach, Craig is ready to find a connection with your student, the strengths they have as a mathematician, and use both to help them realize the success we all know they are capable of!  Email Craig

InfiNeXt Upper Level Math Tutor

William Rios attended Columbia University, where he earned his B.A. in Mathematics-Statistics.  While studying at Columbia, he was on the Dean's List and inducted into the School of General Studies' Honor Society.  William has been privately tutoring a breadth of mathematical subjects for over 16 years, working wonderfully with both secondary and college students.  His areas of expertise include algebra (all levels), geometry, precalculus, calculus, SAT math, and ACT math and science.  Previously, William worked as a calculus tutor at Columbia's Academic Resource Center, where he was certified as a CRLA Level II Tutor, which focuses on the metacognitive and psychosocial requirements for tutoring.  William establishes a great rapport with his students and has a keen intuition for how they learn, always finding a way to relate the material to them.  He understands that learning math can be challenging and frustrating for many students and helps them develop the skills and strategies to be independent problem solvers and their best math selves.  Email William
